Links We Like - and you might too!
Here are just a few of our favourite places - both local, national, and international.
If you thought Penasco was a quiet little backwater on the High Road to Taos, then you'll be as surprised as we were to find out what goes on beyond the pavement.
Nick and Lise

Sugar Nymphs Bistro
...is the only game in town - Penasco, that is - if you want a city-style meal made with fresh local ingredients.
Ki and Kai have cooked at such well-known and up-scale establishments as Green's and Zuni's Cafe in San Francisco, and Alice Waters in Berkeley

Casa de Canciones

And now for some shameless self-promotion!
We have a beautiful vacation home in Taos, just 10 minutes walk to the Plaza and the centre of town.

It's a two bedroom, two bathroom completely self-contained condo in a small quiet community on Burch Street.

Click here for more details...
...and if you tell us you have found it on our Gaucho Blue website, we'll give you 10% off the nightly rate for up to four people.

If we happen to be booked when you want to come, try our neighbours' home, right next door to ours in the same community:  Casa Albion
High Road Artisans

The High Road Artisans is a non-profit 501(c)(3) organisation that supports those trying to make a living from their art along the 'High Road to Taos' scenic Route.

Every year, during the last two weekends in September, artists all along the route from Vadito to Chimayo open their studios and invite you to visit them in their work environments.
Many participating Studios and Galleries are open all year round.

More information is available at their website, where from late Spring, you can also download this year's Tour map.

Our good friend Beth is a fabulous photographer. She's of the old school - no Photoshop for her - so you can be wow'ed that her images are all 'au naturelle'.
Contact Beth for information on her latest work, and also the super series she has produced, including New Orleans, the Southwest, her Doors series, and so much more.

You can purchase some of her Southwest-themed cards in our gallery.
